Human efforts to find meaning create tension rather than tranquility of the mind.

Human efforts to find meaning create tension rather than tranquility of the mind.

Victor Frankl says inner tension is absolutely essential for mental health.

to understand the meaning of life,

There is no better way to effectively survive the worst.

Today, Nietzsche's saying that those who know the reason for living can endure any difficulties come to mind once again.

A person is mentally healthy when he is in a certain state of tension.

The tension is the tension between what has already been achieved and what will be achieved in the future.

It is the tension between the gap that lies between the present me and the future me.

This tension is inherent in human beings and is indispensable for mentally well-being.

Therefore, we must not hesitate to challenge our lives so that we can find the meaning hidden within us. Only by doing so can awaken the true will to find the hidden meaning.

It is often said that the first thing a person needs is a stable mind, or 'homeostasis' in biology, that is, a state of no tension. But what real human beings need is not a tension-free state, but rather an effort and struggle for a worthy goal, a goal chosen by free will.

What human beings need is not to be freed from tension in any way, but to bring out the potential meaning of life to be fulfilled in the future.

What humans need is not homeostasis, but mental dynamism.

At one pole, the meaning to be realized,

And the other pole requires existential dynamism in the magnetic field with humans to make their meanings come true.
