There are three types of happy life.

There are three types of a happy life.

They are the hedonistic life, the political life, and the contemplative life.

First of all, most people seek pleasure.

They show the same taste as slaves or beasts by choosing a life of pleasure that suits only beasts.

Second, those who pursue a political life value honor.

They seek fame because they want to be convinced that they are good people. They exercise some excellence or virtue because they want to be recognized by those who recognize them. Thus, virtue rather than honour becomes the purpose of political life. A life of making money is a life of compulsion. In this case, money is just a means to get something else. Rather, we should aim for the useful things that money can buy.

Third, the contemplative life is the best activity accompanied by virtue.

We believe that in happiness there should be joy.

Among the activities according to virtue, contemplation is the wisest activity and gives pleasure.

The greatest sense of self-sufficiency is the activity of contemplation.

The wiser you are, the better you contemplate.

A wise person depends on leisure.

We are busy to have leisure, and to wage war is to live in peace.

Those who enjoy the leisure and lead a contemplative life are of great value in their seriousness.

However, such a life may be a high mountain for an ordinary human to climb.

The happiness that a contemplative life brings is enduring, deep, and still.
