 Too human weakness, ambition.


Ambition is a desire that nourishes and strengthens all emotions. Therefore, this sentiment can hardly be conquered. For while man is bound to a certain desire, he is inevitably bound at the same time to his ambition. Cicero said: "Even the noblest are governed by a lust for the honour. Even philosophers, especially, write their names in books that say that honour should be despised." - Spinoza, <<Ethica>>


Ambition is different from the natural feeling or desire that arises in a relationship between two people or between me and an object or event. Because it is their ambition to seek attention and respect from third parties outside of this relationship.


Ambition works as it is in all human emotions and desires. The problem is that these ambitions can sometimes overwhelm the feelings or desires that you originally heard.

Even in love, ambition is already following me like a shadow. The moment we fall in love, we want to make known the happiness of love, whether consciously or unconsciously, to those around us. Isn't this our boring self-portrait? A person who wants to be noticed by everyone by telling them about their happiness. We all too easily make love the prey of ambition.


Ambition is the desire to be famous. Every human being wants to receive envy, interest, praise and admiration from an unspecified majority. It doesn't matter who you praise. The logic is that the person who properly acknowledges me must be a good person who works psychologically, and anyone who praises me can turn him into a jewel.


Ambitious people are weak souls. A person who is obsessed with ambition, even though he looks strong, is very weak.


Ambition is like an acacia tree.


As our ambition grows, so many different emotions, the emotions that enrich our lives, can all be wiped out.


An acacia tree that destroys nearby trees with a strong vitality and deep roots. But how alluring is that scent?


Ambition must be properly controlled before it can become intoxicated and insensible to the scent of other flowers. When that happens, countless other emotions in our minds can also grow properly according to their own texture, and we can approach happiness that much.


Even love cannot completely remove ambition, but the more you control it, the more pure love becomes possible.
