There is an instinct that has no outlets inside of human beings,


For the sake of the genealogy of morality, it has been called 'soul' for convenience.


The greatest strength of the soul is the power of 'passion' and 'persistent will'. this


These two forces are indispensable in selection and evolution.



Without passion, human beings are no different from inanimate animals,


Without a lasting will, he is no different than a fire moth.


The noble soul is but a beautiful combination of passion and enduring will.
