When happiness disappears, happiness is complete.

When happiness disappears, happiness is complete.

There was a person who knew a lot of unfortunate stories. He went to the unhappy person far away and heard the story. When an unhappy person told his story, in return he told the story of a more unhappy person.

"That's right. There must have been someone worse off than me."

Hearing the story of a person more unhappy than himself, the unhappy person found a little comfort and became happy. A small group of people seeking solace flocked to him to hear the story of someone more miserable than him. He has now heard all the unfortunate stories in the world. Now that he had no more to hear, he became very unhappy. He thought of a more unfortunate story than his own, but he could not think of it. He became more unhappy.

Then, he heard the news about a woman who collects stories of happy people. It is said that he visits happy people and hears happy stories. In return for telling a happy story, he tells the story of a slightly happier person.

"There are people happier than me."

He hoped that anyone who heard the story of someone happier than him would be happier, but he couldn't. So they became unhappy. Happy people who didn't want to be unhappy left him.

"Don't tell me about someone happier than me."

He got to know all the happy stories. But he had no happy people to listen to the happy stories he knew. He told himself the happy stories of others.

'Everyone is happier than me.'
