The saying 'start with the end in mind is based on the principle that everything is created twice.

The first creation refers to what you do in the mind, and the second creation refers to putting it into action. Although there are differences, many people use these two principles of creation in various fields. Before we go on a trip, we first decide on a destination and plan the best route for it. Before giving a speech, write a manuscript in advance, and even before you start landscaping your garden, think about the landscape design in your head. Similarly, to make clothes, you have to design them before you sew them.

If you understand these two principles of creation well and implement them thoroughly, you can focus your efforts on the areas of influence and expand the scope of your influence. On the other hand, if the principle of creation is not properly followed and the goal setting, which is the first creation, is neglected, the scope of influence will be reduced.

It is a principle that all things are created twice. However, not all first creations were created by conscious design. When we are not aware of or take responsibility for, our life goals, the first creation of our personal lives, it can cause others outside our circle of influence and circumstances to shape many aspects of our lives. It's like leaving it alone. This is how we live reflexively according to the script of our family, friends and other people, and we are dictated by our environment.

The scripts that influence us like this do not come from principles, but from others. These come into play because of our weaknesses, our feelings of reliance on others, our need for acceptance and love, our desire to belong, our need to confirm our importance and worth through others, and our desire to be important.

Whether you are conscious of this process or not, and whether you are under your control or not, there is always the first creation in every part of your life. Thus, we are the second creations of our own initiative or created by other people, our environment, and our past habits.

But the unique human capacities—self-consciousness, imagination, and conscience—allow us to examine the first creation and rewrite the script for ourselves.

The two creations can be viewed as leadership and management skills.

Leadership is the first real creation, and management is the second creation.

'Management is doing things right, but leadership is doing things right.'

Management is concerned with the profit and loss outcome of how I can best accomplish which work. However, leadership deals with more mainstream issues. In other words, it deals with what the hell I'm trying to achieve.

Managing is a matter of how effectively to climb the ladder of success, and leadership is about determining whether the ladder spans the right walls.

We often see individuals, groups, or companies going the wrong way and moving forward without knowing it. However, in today's rapidly changing environment, great leadership is desperately needed from all of us. Leadership is necessary for all areas of independent and interdependent living.

We need a vision, a goal, and a compass (a collection of principles and directions) more than a map that shows the way. We are often unaware of the condition of the land ahead, and often do not know what it takes to get through it. So, in most cases, you rely on your own judgment. At this time, our inner compass always points the way forward.

Effective management without effective leadership is like arranging deck chairs on a sinking ship.

This means that no management can prevent failure if leadership is not functioning properly. On the other hand, since we do not easily deviate from the paradigm of business management, it is very difficult and important to exercise leadership.

In particular, leadership is lacking in an individual's life. This is because we are obsessed with life efficiency management or goal setting and achievement before even establishing values.

Since we are living according to several scripts that have already been given to us, the process of writing our own scripts can be seen as a 're-scripting process, that is, a paradigm shift. It is to change the basic paradigms that we already have. As we become aware of ineffective scripts and imperfect paradigms within us, we can proactively rewrite ourselves.

Success in an individual's life is ultimately about understanding oneself properly and winning the battle with oneself, not the possession of material things.

Because we have a sense of self, imagination, and conscience, we can examine what we value most. Then I realize that the scripts I'm following aren't what I think they're worth, they don't come from my own initiative design, they're just the result of my first creation, influenced by the environment or other people. I can change. I can forget the past and live to imagine a bright future. It also frees you from the narrow thoughts of the past, allowing you to unleash your limitless potential. In other words, I could be the first designer to create myself.

Starting with an end in mind means performing various roles in life, such as parenting, according to your values ​​and goals. This means that he himself is responsible for the first creation. It also means rewriting the script so that the paradigm from which my actions and attitudes are based is consistent with what I truly value, and so that it is not in any way contrary to sound principles. And this means that we have to live deeply every day of the things we think are valuable.

If a clear standard of values ​​is established that is not shaken by any ups and downs or challenges of life, then you can lead a truly leading and value-centred life.
