Good writing, good words, embodying.
"If you intend to climb high, let it rise on your own feet!" - Nietzsche
When we read books or listen to lectures, we come across so-called 'good writing' and 'good words' a lot.
Where did all those 'good words' that sometimes made me hit my knees and sometimes even touched my heart and wrote them down somewhere?
It seems that they stayed in me for a while, but now I don't know where they are.
Why are those 'good words' just like a soda that only gives you the thrill of a moment?
Perhaps it is because they have never properly digested those 'good words'. In other words, he didn't take it seriously. I only saw the beautiful words of Socrates, Confucius, Jesus and Buddha, but did not experience them. We believe in their authority, not their words. If you truly believed the word, you should have done it already.
Faith is expressed not in the practice of words, but in the worship of the person who speaks them. What we believe is not words, but that they are special beings different from us.
Many people believe in Jesus and show off their faith, but few live like Jesus. Maybe that's not what Nietzsche meant when he said that Jesus was the only Christian?
Of course, this is not a matter of any particular religion. It is a problem for everyone who reads and listens to good words as a habit.
I bought more than a million books by a monk who broke the spirit of non-possession, but non-possession is not actually practised. We pay the price of a book as an admission fee while listening to good words as if visiting a museum or a scenic spot.
A right word is just a right word. For it to be mine, it must be experienced again in me. Words that I have not experienced in my own way are mere floating information. There are still many people in the world looking for the right words, but there is no shortage of right words in the world. They are just wandering aimlessly here and there.
It is said that the humanities lecture halls of 'favourite lecturers' are overflowing with people these days.
There are many books and lectures where you can read and listen to good words. But most of the words have become like products that everyone uses and throws away, even if they don't even use them. If you hear something good from someone, you should hear it again in your own voice at least once. Only then will it be mine.
A mountain that I have not climbed with my own feet is a mountain that exists only as a spectacle and spectacle. Therefore, to meet and experience the mountain in person, you have no choice but to climb it yourself.
"If you intend to climb high, let it rise on your own feet."
