The heart must be centered.
The heart must be centred.
Greed is control, not abandonment.
The mind of man is always in danger, and the mind of the Way is not well revealed. You just have to watch closely and keep it constant and hold onto the centre of it.
Human desires and emotions are not qualities that can be judged right or wrong. Emotions are completely value-neutral.
Rejoicing, anger, sadness, and fear are not in themselves right or wrong. If you just can't control it, can't get out of it, can't control it, harm others, or use it for evil purposes, it's a mind that follows desires uncontrollably, that is, an unrighteous mind. Therefore, the city centre does not mean not using people's hearts, but rather using them correctly. Of course, rejoicing at what should be pleased and being angry at what should be angry does not mean that you are out of the city.
Everyone tends to pursue what is beneficial to them. Therefore, it is natural to be greedy. However, if you do not choose any means for your own benefit, or if you unconditionally pursue your own benefit, whether it harms others or not, it becomes agreed caught up with desire. Conversely, even if you pursue profit, if you judge from the point of view of righteousness and follow what is right, then you follow the natural.
The mind of man is always in danger, and the mind of the Way is not well revealed. You just have to watch closely and only keep it constant and hold on to the centre. To do this, academics and discipline must be combined. Because without knowledge, it is impossible to examine properly, and without discipline, there cannot be consistency.
The beginning can be a time to pause and reflect when emotions and desires are boiling over, or a time to take a step back and contemplate yourself.
You have to give yourself a chance by looking at yourself objectively, driven by numerous emotions and situations.
To take a step back is to temporarily isolate yourself from your feelings. When faced with a certain situation, instead of identifying yourself with your emotions, if you can take a step back and view yourself objectively and rationally as if you are observing other people's work, you will not be controlled by your emotions.
When you take a step back so as not to be buried, you can look at yourself without adding or subtracting. If you can see it right away, you can check whether your actions are based on the right morality. If you are ashamed of yourself, you should leave the job.
Even if you are not an adult or a sage, you can become a better person than you were yesterday if you practice not being swayed in your daily life.
Neither too much nor too little, neither too much nor too little, the most appropriate and harmonious state of mind,
The human heart must have a centre.
A person who knows how to stop in front of an incorrect path can lead the right path.
