One of the few iron laws of history, luxuries tend to become necessities and create new obligations. Once accustomed to luxury, people take it for granted. Then you start to depend.


Eventually, it gets to the point where I can't live without it.


Home appliances, computers, mobile phones...


These machines were expected to make life more leisurely.


Advances in technology have saved all the trouble and time of the past.


Has modern life become a little more relaxed?


Save Time. What you expected has actually made life run ten times faster than in the past. So, our daily life is full of anxiety and worry.


The luxury trap.


Humanity's search for a more comfortable life has created a powerful force of change, which has changed the world in ways no one expected or hoped for. No one deliberately envisioned an agricultural revolution or tried to make humans dependent on growing crops. A series of trivial decisions aimed at just filling the stomach and a little bit of safety have resulted in a life of carrying a bucket of water under the scorching sun.


The pursuit of a comfortable life and the accumulation of trivial choices lead to an unpredictable butterfly effect.


I cannot let my unconscious choices guide my life.
