Lucky me, poor them.
Lucky me, poor them.
Poor me, lucky ones.
When we are poor, we envy those who are well-off. But many of the rich envy the true friendship of the poor and freedom from all obligations.
To be rich is simply to exchange 'the suffering of the poor' for 'the suffering of the rich. Giving up a job and losing income is exchanging 'the suffering of the rich for 'the suffering of the poor. everything is like that
Poor me, lucky ones.
It is only imagination to think that you can be happy by being something else. Becoming something else is nothing more than exchanging one form of suffering for another. But whether married or single, rich or poor, new or old, when you are satisfied with who you are, then you can be freed from suffering.
Lucky me, poor them.
